After my last fantastic Africa trip (Angola, Madagascar and Mozambique) I have updated my image library on gettyimages. Madagascar part.
My favorite landscape image is the sunset at the Isalo Rock Lodge Madagascar, the sunset was just for a very short moment. Also the vespertine sky was clouded and the sun came and hid, came and hid – but I got one great shoot.Embed from Getty Images
My favorite animal photo is the Milne-Edwards sifaka, mother with infant, in Ranomafana National Park, Madagascar. Most of the time the infant played on the treetop and was so enthusiastic. One or two times came both down to us and we could photograph them very close.
I was overwhelmed to photograph the Lemurs / sifaka perfect, because of the light conditions. Struggled with not sharp photos, because I tried lower shutter speed, or I had overexposed frames. Embed from Getty Images
Madagascar is an amazing country, but you can see only approximately 10 % of the rainforest anymore. The lost rainforest areas are mainly for industrial agriculture. I think Madagascar is a kind of „breadbasket of Asia“. The agriculture in Madagascar means Paddy fields, Paddy fields and still more Paddy fields.

The impact of industrial agriculture everywhere like paddy fields is losing ultimately the unique rainforests and later without any habitats the animals. The lost rainforests implied changing climate – Madagascar is hitting from grow stronger cyclones every year.
