Setting up my new Nikon D850 and iphone X – next South America trip in April
Finally I received all my new camera gear and setting up everything this weekend. The Nikon D850, Nikon AF-S Nikkor ED VR 24-70 mm 1:2 8E, Nikon Polfilter Circular II 82mm, 6 Freecom 2TB Tough Drive and 3 Lexar 128GB 2000x Profi SDXC UHS-II U3. A single Nikon RAW-file (photo.nef, Nikon Electronic Format) on one of my hard drives is approximately 0,1 GB sized and I can shoot 45.7 megapixel RAW images at up to 9 fps. ISO ranges from 64 to 25,600 and is expandable from 32-102,400. UltraHD video can be captured to the D850’s Lexar memory cards (XQD or SDHC II).
The big challenge is the huge amount of storage request. I can’t afford new hard drives again and again. So, my new strategy is to use the Amazon drive cloud. I can upload my entire work without any costs into the Cloud. During my work on each single trip, I backup my images and videos on 2TB Freecom hard drives. Back at home, all files will go to the amazon drive cloud and I can formate the Freecom hard drives again. New empty Freecom hard drives again, no more costs.
