Via gettyimages I have come across the magazine "New Scientist". They use a humpback whale picture of mine in their article "On the geological succession of organic beings". I took the photo in South Africa, on the "wild coast - Transkei" during the "Sardine run".

The article deals with Darwin's theories, a good reason to announce one of my planned trips for 2010. I am visiting the Galapagos Islands again, after I had serious problems with a tour operator in 2001 and was not able to take any good photos. So this time I am planning 3 weeks ;-)

The year 2009 was not at all successful for me, so I had little to report. I just hope that the next year will be better!
