Jumeirah Madinat - Al Qasr
I finished my trip to Dubai in the Jumeirah Madinat Al Qasr Hotel. The Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel is near the beach, and in the neighbourhood of the two hotel complexes Jumeirah Beach and Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The hotel complex Jumeirah Madinat, with the hotels Mina A'Salam, Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf, is connected together with artificial waterways, and you can be moved from one hotel to another by boat (only for the guests). It is a particularly good idea to travel by boat during the midday heat, rather than walking in the hot sun.
Jumeirah Madinat Jumeirah Al QasrThe Jumeirah Burj Al Arab Hotel, which looms over everything, can be seen from the Jumeirah complex, and is especially striking at night. A souq is integrated in the Jumeirah Madinat Mina A'Salam, with countless shops and restaurants. I personally found it all too hectic, but it is certainly worth visiting for people who are interested in that sort of thing ;-))
The sky was never really clear by day, probably because of the many building sites in Dubai, so the pictures of the Burj Al Arab always had a light milky veil. This is new for me, it did not happen on my last visit to Dubai.
As on every trip here in the last few years, this time too I visited the Burj Al Arab and drank a coffee in the Skyview Bar. Professional photography in the Burj al Arab is sadly not allowed. Only guests with small cameras like my Nikon Coolpix are allowed to take pictures, in certain specific places in the Hotel.
