Another journey to the Azores Portugal
Today I am leaving for Pico Island on the Azoren, via Lisbon. The Azores lie in the Atlantic Ocean and belong to Portugal. The island gets its name from the volcano "Pico".
I try to travel to Pico every year because of the whales and dolphins. Last year I had little luck with the weather, as is was mostly rainy and stormy. Only the unforgettable encounter with a huge ocean sunfish made up for the bad weather. As every year, my provider is espacotalassa. I will post more on my work with the animals and their behaviour in the following days on my blog.
Afterwards I shall photograph Porto and its surroundings. I will relax a bit too, of course :-)
