After travelling from Erfurt to Berlin, I checked in to the Hotel Q!. Hotel Q!, in modern design (GRAFT) is to be found on the Kurfürstendamm (known as the "Ku'damm") and is unremarkable from the outside, so I would probably never have found it if not for the friendly "female computer voice" of my BMW navigation system. When the "female computer voice" declared "you have reached your destination", I was not so sure that I had programmed the correct street in in Erfurt :-) But I had.

In the side streets to the Kurfürstendamm there are many fine restaurants. I am impressed by the variety! My personal highlight is the Spanish restaurant Mar y Sol.

During the day, my guide - Olaf Gollnow - arrived, and we checked out the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS in Berlin. Unfortunatley not all buildings are illuminated, like they were last year, so I was quickly disappointed. Only the Brandenburger Tor was very nicely lit up, so I concentrated mostly on that.
