Bullshit by Harry G. Frankfurt a little book against hot air
Who does not know the endless monologues by politicians and managers on TV interviews or talk shows. "Rhetorical diarrhoea". I just want to hear the facts, and if the interviewee denies all plans for tax rises or job losses, then there are tax rises and jobs lost. It's like football, when a team is playing badly and the managers all support the trainer. It does not take long before a new trainer is on the bank.
The little book "Bullshit" by the well-known American philosopher Harry G. Frankfurt describes this situation, and I find it well worth reading.
