After two days in Singapore, today I continue on at last to Papua New Guinea. The weekend was very peaceful in Singapore, as the Chinese were celebrating Chinese New Year. This year is in the sign of the Dog, something which should not be restricted just to the one year in Germany considering the amount of dig mess :-) Unfortunately, the New Year festivities meant that almost all the office towers were empty, and so unlit :-( I was sadly only able to photograph these impressive buildings by day. My hotel room in the Swiss Stamford Hotel was on the top floor, so that I could take some good shots of the Singapore WTC compound at eye level. I photographed from my own balcony, which was a difficult job considering my fear of heights :-) My Nikon D2X was pretty damp afterwards :-) The visit to Sentosa was also a little disappointing, as the free weekend meant that many families were also there. One could not see any fish or sharks through the masses of people.
