It was again very nice in Sydney, and I did not want to leave the pretty metropolis. On the Qantas flight from Sydney to Singapore, as expected I got my reserved seat right at the front of the aeroplane. With my neighbour - an Australian from a suburb of Sydney - we enjoyed the view of the city during our ascent. The evening atmosphere over Sydney was wonderful. We ended up chatting about Germany and Australia. I mentioned to him my problems with excess luggage with Quantas. He just kept on smiling! Why? After I had had a little sleep, the captain of the flight stood in front of me and talked to my Australian neighbour about his holiday in Switzerland. The on-board staff were also unusually friendly, and spent more time than usual near us. My neighbour was a member the high-up management of Quantas :-)

After the comfortable flight from Sydney to Singapore, I took a taxi back to the Swiss Stamford Hotel. The following morning I relaxed with a long breakfast, and then went to the final Chinese events celebrating the new year of the dog. Early in the evening I flew back to Germany.
