Tavaelo Island, Iro Island and Linden Channel
The journey is nearing its end and I am a little under the weather from a cold. Diving is getting harder and harder for me each day, and I am finding it harder to concentrate. So after each of the countless dives I occupy one of the two hammocks on the deck of the "Star Dancer", and enjoy the rocking of the boat and the wind in my face.
In the "Linden Channel" two eagle rays swam past above where I was diving, without my noticing them. Fortunately I was as ever accompanied by the perfect diving companion Elsie, who was able point them out to me before it was too late. There was very little time to take pictures, as we were diving in an area of strong currents and the rays were moving away from us at high speed. I managed to surprise myself by getting the camera and the two flashguns manually adjusted almost optimally in just a few seconds.
