I spent most of today in and around the Burj Al Arab. I find the building so impressive that words fail me. But I think that my pictures reflect its uniqueness very well !? I would welcome any comments on this ! Unfortunately it was forbidden to take photos inside the hotel, but the next time I come to Dubai I will try to get permission in advance. The chances are not good, but I will try anyway :-) To finish off, I allowed myself a little drink in the Al Muntaha Restaurant on the 20th floor. There is a wonderful view from the restaurant over the sea and to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel next door. In the distance you can see the palm-tree shaped piles of sand where new apartments are to be built. A brilliant, if also somewhat crazy, idea in my opinion.
