Underwater photography in Oman
After my first day in Dubai, I continued on for two days to Oman to go diving. The journey from Dubai to the Musandamdivers in Musandam - Dibba, took about 2 hours. The Musadandivers use dhows for their day trips around Musandam - Dibba. The guests on my first day trip were from Montreal in Canada, and a couple from Johannesburg in South Africa. When I asked the guests from Johannesburg where they lived in Sandton, they were very surprised that I had guessed that they lived there. Most well-off Johannesburgers live in Rosebank or Sandton. I was very disappointed by the two dives on the first day in Oman, as the water was very turbid and the rocky underwater landscape held hardly any larger corals. I enjoyed the day on the boat anyway, as the chats with the other guests and the atmosphere were very pleasant.
