Pentax and Samsung step up their cooperation

The Japanese camera manufacturer Pentax and the Korean electronics company Samsung want to produce a digital single lens reflex camera. This would be a further consolidation in the area of digital photography. The electronics company Sony first took over the photography department of KonicaMinolta, after the fusion of Konica and Minolta did not bring the hoped-for success in the digital photography market. It would in any case be an enrichment for the digital SLR market, which is dominated by Canon and Nikon. As a Nikon photographer, I am excited to see what the new camera from Pentax and Samsung will be like. Their first joint camera should be on the market in autumn of this year.
