Carnivores sleep longer
I noticed this too with in Africa, they spent most of their time lying around in the shade and sleeping or dozing. The waterbucks and similar were awake, ate grass and were always nervous.
When I see the amounts of meat people buy at the supermarket, they must have no trouble sleeping .The plastic bags of meat are so heavy that they sometimes rip open.
Perhaps I should eat a leg of pork from time to time after all, in order to get a better night's sleep?
