Nikon presents its new Nikon D200 D-SLR

In the last few days, Nikon has presented its new camera model, the Nikon D200 D-SLR.

Its distinguishing features are:

1. Solid and advanced control.

2. Joining the newest technology with the advanced functions of the D2X. The effect: superior functionality, excellent build quality and fantastic photographic results.

3. A robust magnesium alloy body and seals.

4. Advanced controls:

a) the principle of operation is taken from the D2X, with over 40 well-structured individual functions.

b) A high-resolution 2.5 in. LCD.

c) the largest top LCD panel among cameras in its class.

d) an expanded on-board Help feature with brief descriptions of every one of the camera's menu items.

5. The Ultimate Shooting Experience

a) an industry leading power-up time of 0.15 seconds, a reduced shutter release time lag of only 50 milliseconds and a shortened viewfinder blackout of just 105 milliseconds

b) shoot continuously at up to five

frames per second, capturing up to an impressive 37 JPEG images (Fine) or up to 22 NEF (RAW) images, when using CompactFlash™-Karte SanDisk SDCFH (Ultra II) or SDCFX (Extreme III) with 1 GB.

c) 3D Color Matrix Metering II system, known from the D2X.
