The manager Douglas Tompkins founded the fashion house "Esprit", and led it to success. He also founded "The North Face". The New Yorker sold his shares in the companies and invested the resulting millions in saving the Chilean rainforest. The American is also working on a national park in the heart of Patagonia (Argentina). The private nature reserve is the largest of its kind in the world, covering more than 250,000 Ha. It reaches from the coast of the Pacific Ocean to the heights of the Andes. I wish there were many more Douglas Tompkins, to preserve the beauty and abundance of nature.
